Sun win three out of three

Only one of Sun Sports' three teams completed their Saturday fixture.
This was the senior side, who grabbed a fine 2-1 win over Norton Sports in Division One of the Herts County League.
At Parkside Drive, where Sun Reserves were playing English Electric, the referee called the game off after 25 minutes of worsening conditions, and the Junior's match with St Stephens "B" at St Albans lasted just five minutes longer.
In the torrential rain which fell for most of the senior games, both teams did remarkably well.
Sun had the major portion of the play, and but for some good saves by Norton's goalkeeper, they would have exceeded their ration of two goals.
In the first half, with the driving rain behind them, they did most of the attacking.
Their first goal came in the 23rd minute when Adkins and Palmer worked an opening for Fisher to shoot in from near the penalty spot.
Winters soon equalised for Norton, but Sun were quickly attacking again, though they were out of luck until ten minutes after the change over.
Then Willis paved the way for Rod Palmer to crack a first time shot into the net.
Sun have won the three league matches they have so far played.
