Bedmond 2 Sun Sports 1 1959/60 HCL Div One
Bedmond jolt Sun hopes
Promotion bent Sun Sports did well at Bedmond on Saturday, even though they were beaten by the odd goal of three in a game which did not really sparkle and was more notable for it's honest endeavour.
Bedmond had the advantage of the wind and slope in the first half, with the result that they were more often on the attack than defending.
But they were unable to find a way past Dearman, although they went close on a number of occasions.
Sun played much better in the opening stages of the second half, and it was Bedmond who had to defend dourly.
As the woodwork had come to Sun's rescue in the first half, so it came to the aid of Bedmond.
Bedmond recovered, and two miskicks let in Summers to open their account.
Baldwin added a second Bedmond goal in the 66th minute.
It was not until two minutes from the end that Sun eventually scored - through Brightman.
