Box was the star

In a County League Division One game, which maintained interest for the full 90 minutes, Sun chalked up another victory, this time at the expense of Bedmond.
Bedmond played hard, direct football but did not quite possess the craft of Sun.
There were no weak links in the Sun team and by dint of good football they had more of the play than their opponents.
Rod Palmer opened the scoring in the 33rd minute. He had a hand in the second goal, nodding the ball down to Fisher, who carried it forward and netted with a good shot.
Roy Box played one of his best ever games for Sun and his display had a big effect on the outcome of the match.
