Rands gets two for Sun

Having being napped by De Havilland (Leavesden) in a mid week encounter, Sun could not have gone into Saturday's Premier League game against De Havilland (Hatfield) with very much confidence.
Their young side, however, was enthusiastic, and they had a confidence booster in the first minute when Derek Rands beat De Havilland's former Watford goalkeeper, Denis McCrystal, from close range.
Sun had several good chances after this, but the inside forwards were a little goal-shy so the score remained 1-0 at the interval.
At the start of the second half, De Havilland's showed more directness to make the exchanges more even.
They fell further in arrears, however, when Rands got in an opportunist shot which curled out of McCrystal's reach.
De Havilland's reduced the deficit from the penalty spot, but this only succeeded in spurring on Sun, and after fifteen minutes of the endeavour, Ken Noble got the ball into the net.
Five minutes from the end De Havilland's scored their second goal.
