Sun shock Leavesden
It is perhaps just as well that Leavesden are so near the Championship; For their football at Parkside Drive on Saturday looked more attuned to the middle of the table than the top.
In some ways, however, Sun probably surprised them, for they got to the ball quicker than Leavesden expected them to.
And Sun obviously had no thoughts of defeat, even when Leavesden took the lead for the first time in the 68th minute.
Terry Willis provided the opening for Rod Palmer to put Sun in the lead after only 18 minutes and that lead held until shortly after half time.
Then Sun were slow to close a gap and Jimmy Day pounced for the equaliser.
In the 68th minute Leavesden went ahead when Tommy Austin took the ball well up to provide a scoring chance for Don Stevens, but a bare minute later Les Slade restored the balance for Sun.
Leavesden made a big effort to force both points, but Sun fought hard and were good value for their share of the spoils.
