Mellor joins Sun Sports

Sun Sports scored a comfortable victory over Stanstead Abbots on Saturday and so retain third place in Division.One, having conceded ten points in twenty matches.
From the start Sun made the running, and in the fifth minute Roy Brown put them ahead with a shot from the outside the penalty area.
The Stanstead goal went close to falling again on several occasions but somehow the visitors held out to cross over only a goal behind.
Five minutes after the restart Terry Willis increased Sun's lead with a good header only for the visitors to reply.
In the closing minutes John Benning clinched the issue - if it ever was in doubt!
Newcomer who proved himself with Sun was Len Mellor, the former Hempstead Town winger.
