Third time better

This was the third meeting between these teams in the space of 5 weeks, and Sun's improvement was shown in the final score, for in the previous encounters the Rovers had a one and a two goal win.
The game was only a few minutes old when Sun took the lead through B Kenny.
There was not a lot to choose between the teams, however, and in the 25th minute Hempstead got back on level terms.
During the second half the crowd saw a further demonstration of cut and thrust football.
The Rovers came back to take the lead in the 52nd minute but two minutes later a typical Alan Patterson goal put Sun back in the running.
Sun clicked into top gear after this, and once again it was Patterson who scored.
This was not destined to be a Sun victory, however, for in the 57th minute a left wing corner was shot home to make it an even division of the spoils.
