Sun Sports 4 Hemel Hempstead Rovers 5                          1957/58                       HCL Premier

Disheartening for Sun

For the first time this season Sun scored four goals in one match, and with a 4-1 lead at half time they had good reason to believe they would run out winners.
In the second half, however, the visitors superior strength told, and they drew level with them, and then overtook the home team's score.
Sun opened their account after seven minutes, Ian Aldersley scoring his first goal with the first team.
A further shock befell the Rovers after 12 minutes when centre forward Allan Patterson shot home number two.
The third goal followed in the 15th minute, a left wing centre being headed home by Aldersley.
Seven minutes went by, and Sun completed what looked to be a winning total when P O'Doherty put a long ball upfield for Patterson to score.
The Rovers replied just once before the interval, but it was in the second half that their attack hit top form and scored four times.
