Sun had a winning mixture

Sun's team for this shield match was a mixture of normal members of the Sports County League side and others who are bona fide employees of the firm but play for other clubs.
After half an hour's play, it looked as though they would run away with the game and build up a high score as they had already reached a nap hand.
Before half time, however, Bob Croucher was handling the ball more often, and the second half was eventful.
Winstone's made a couple of positional changes which stiffened their defence and put their forwards away more often.
While Sun did not look like losing the game, they conceded a goal to Winstone's after 59 minutes.
Sun's first half goals were mostly headed home from good corners by John Carpenter.
They were scored by Stevens (3), Noble and Doherty.
