Sun six goals up by half time

Because of injuries, Sun had to bring in three reserves on Saturday, but they were still much too good for middle of the table Knebworth.
Sun easily obtained a 6-0 lead at half time, and they had almost as many goes at goal in the second half, but by then Knebworth's goalkeeper had run into form.
He kept out at least six shots which seemed certain to score.
Len Mellor had the unhappy distinction of missing twice from the penalty spot in the second half.
He stroked his first effort the wrong side of the post and this second was too near the goalkeeper.
Terry Willis put Sun one up in four minutes, and got a second 12 minutes later.
Johnny Wise, Phil Bass and Mick Brightman (2) took the score to six before half time, and after Knebworth had got their consolation goal, Bass netted a seventh.
