Sun Sports 8 Kings Langley 3 1955/56 Aubrey Cup
Sun made certain this time
On their second successive meeting with Kings Langley, Sun made no mistake.
Having had to be content with a 1-1 draw the previous week, their forwards just what could be done, and had they reached double figures, Langley could not have complained.
Yet it was Langley who scored first, D Evans netting after the referee had bounced the ball a yard from the goal.
Sun soon got over this reverse and at 10 minutes Kenny smartly headed in a Barber pass to equalise.
Another seven minutes and Barber himself put Sun in the lead, but this was short lived, for a Sun defender put the ball into his own goal.
Williams put Sun in front again before the interval, and they added another goal through Phil Bass before J Evans found the net for Langley.
After that, Sun took command.
Colin Brown scored from the penalty spot after Eric Williams had been floored, and repeated the feat two minutes later when a defender handled.
Williams and Barber got the other goals.
Sun played well as a team, but found Bull far from easy to beat in the Langley goal, and in Lennard the visitors had another good defender.
