Sun had to work hard

Defensive minded De Havillands made Sun work hard for the only goal of the game and the two points that went with it.
But although the result indicates that Sun were rather fortunate, the truth was that they had quite three quarters of the play.
In the first half, they were continually making tracks for the De Havilland goal and a score looked imminent on several occasions.
The home goalkeeper, however, had luck on his side, for as well as scrambling some shots away, he saw the ball strike the woodwork five times.
Sun's defence was well on top and little was seen of the home attack.
Indeed, 15 minutes of the second half elapsed before Dearman had a shot to deal with.
Sun's forwards, however, were also well held, too often they fell into the De Havilland's offside trap.
Eventually, in the 73rd minute, Sun finally broke the deadlock when Eric Williams forced the ball home from a corner.
