Sun took short cut

Direct methods brought Sun a fine win at Hatfield.
De Havilland had plenty of the play, but they kept the ball close and Sun always looked the more dangerous.
Hathaway lobbed the ball over the head of the advancing goalkeeper after 15 minutes and McDonald beat McCrystal in similar fashion before half time.
Sun's defence did well after the change over and with 15 minutes to go, Pat Boyle took a pass from Lamport to add number three.
Altogether it was a bright Saturday for Sun, their Reserves beat Knebworth Reserves 2-0 and Sun Juniors beat Hemel Hempstead Juniors 5-2 in the semi-final of the West Herts Under 16 Challenge Cup.
Franklin (2), Clarke (2), and Rolfe were Sun's scorers.
