De Havilland (Leavesden) 4 Sun Sports 0                        1957/58                           HCL Premier

Four goals hard on the Sun

Four clear goals flattered De Havilland (Leavesden) in this County League "Derby" clash on Saturday.
Three of the goals came in the first half, and, ironically enough, this was when Sun played their best football.
The game as a whole was not one to enthuse over, play was on the scrappy side.
The use of long passes to the wings was Leavesden's main mode of attack, and it was following one of these that Donovan opened the scoring in the 18th minute.
A misunderstanding by two Sun defenders led to Weightman putting the home side further ahead six minutes later, and in the 32nd minute the same player headed in the third goal.
Sun did their share of attacking, but the finishing was all too often off the target.
There was a lot of midfield and scrappy play after the interval.
Neither side looked like scoring until Seabrook found the net three minutes from time.
