A triumph for Bignell

Sun did not make the most of their chances in this first round cup game at Apsley on Saturday, but even so they emerged comfortable winners.
Champion of the game was four goal Bignell, three of the goals he scored in the first half, starting in the fifteenth minute, adding number two ten minutes later and the third in the 35th minute.
His final goal was netted midway through the second half, when the Sun were soft pedalling.
The little resistance that the Division two side offered came in the early stages of the second half, but a sound Sun defence beat off their attacks.
The victors owed a lot of their success to their inside trio of Compton, Bignell and Willis.
