St. Barts Cup comes back to the Sun

After an absence of seven years the St. Barts (Printers) Football Cup has returned to Sun Sports.
On Thursday evening, at Selhurst Park, they defeated Mirror Pictorial and so gained revenge on a side which had beaten them in several other finals in this competition.
Sun certainly deserved to win.
They had much the better of the exchanges, particularly in the first half.
Brian Adkins gave the Sun the lead after 18 minutes, and seven minutes later Terry Willis, who had engineered the first goal, scored himself by converting Williams' centre, Kenny also hit the bar in this period.
There was a definite slacking of the pace in the second half, Sun still continued to have the better of the exchanges and twice more hit the woodwork.
Against a resolute defence, Mirror Pictorial were seldom allowed to get in shots.
