Reserves were good deputies

In a game that held one's interest to the end, the credit in this Division One match goes to Sun.
Fielding their reserve team they missed two "sitters", otherwise they would have collected two points for their first team, competing in the Printers Cup.
Only four minutes had gone when Sun went into the lead, J McDonald centring low for E Shillito.
De Havilland's equaliser was not far behind, being scored in the seventh minute by Oswald.
Play was of an end to end nature, and the next goal did not come until thirty seconds before the interval, Shillito again being successful for the Sun.
De Havilland pressed very strongly in the early stages of the second half but the Sun defence held firm.
With slight hesitation in the home defence, De Havilland saved a point in the 72nd minute, Oswald being the scorer.
